What you get
Genzzi Meet is a browser-based video conferencing application by Genzzi, hosted on servers in India. Meetings start in one click and produce a shareable link; joining requires no account, no download and no payment. Calls are encrypted in transit, with optional end-to-end encryption via a shared passphrase carried in the link fragment. Features: instant rooms, scheduled meetings with Google Calendar and .ics export, a pre-join device lobby, in-call chat, screen sharing and device switching.
Calls are carried by Genzzi-operated media servers in India, so meeting traffic is not relayed through infrastructure abroad.
Turn on a shared passphrase and media is encrypted in the browser. The passphrase travels in the link fragment, which browsers never send to the server.
Anyone with the link or the meeting code can join. There is no sign-up wall, no app download and no per-seat billing.
A pre-join lobby previews your camera and microphone, and says plainly when a device is missing, blocked by the browser, or held by another app.
Share a screen or window, send messages in the in-call chat, and switch camera, microphone or speaker without leaving the meeting.
Pick a time to get a meeting link plus a Google Calendar entry or a downloadable .ics file. Scheduling is in beta and meetings are not yet saved to your account.
Questions
Genzzi Meet is a browser-based video conferencing app from Genzzi, built for meetings that stay inside India. You open a room in one click, share the link, and the call runs on Genzzi-operated servers in India over WebRTC. It is part of the Genzzi ecosystem and works with one Genzzi login.
No. Joining needs only the meeting link or the meeting code — there is no sign-up, no invitation email and no app to install. Open the link in a browser, allow camera and microphone access, and you are in.
Open meet.genzzi.in and choose "Start meeting now". A room opens immediately with its own link. Check your camera and microphone in the lobby, then copy the link and send it to the people you want in the call. The room closes on its own once the last person leaves.
Paste the full invite link into the "Join with a code or link" box on the home page, or type just the meeting code — eight characters in two groups, like abcd-efgh. Both take you to the same room, and pasting the whole link also carries the encryption passphrase when the meeting uses one.
Every call is encrypted in transit. End-to-end encryption is an additional option: when a meeting is started with a passphrase, audio and video are encrypted in each participant browser so the server relays media it cannot read. The passphrase is held in the link fragment after the # symbol, which browsers never transmit to the server.
Meeting media is relayed by servers Genzzi operates in India and is not written to disk — Genzzi Meet keeps no recording of a call unless recording is explicitly switched on for that deployment. Rooms hold no state after the last participant leaves.
Yes. Open the "Schedule meeting" tab, pick a date, a start time and a duration, and Genzzi Meet returns a meeting link you can copy, add to Google Calendar, or download as an .ics file for Outlook or Apple Calendar. The link works at any time. Scheduling is in beta, so scheduled meetings are not yet saved to your account.
Genzzi Meet runs in any modern browser that supports WebRTC — Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, and Chrome or Safari on Android and iOS. Nothing needs to be installed. The site must be served over HTTPS, because browsers only grant camera and microphone access on secure origins.
Yes. Screen sharing is in the in-call control bar and lets you present an entire screen, a single window or a browser tab. Other participants see the shared surface alongside the video tiles.
Genzzi Meet is free to use and has no per-seat billing — meetings are not metered per participant. The application is also open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, so an organisation can run it on its own servers.
